Official: Russian ’16 budget oil price forecast overly optimistic

MOSCOW, Oct 26 (PRIME) -- A U.S. $50 per barrel oil price forecast on which the 2016 Russian budget plan is based was way too optimistic, Andrei Makarov, chairman of the budget and tax committee of the State Duma, lower chamber of the parliament, told reporters on October 24.

“Both the Audit Chamber, and the budget committee assumes that this price is overly optimistic,” Makarov said.
